CD1

Well, here I am, back at the start... AF hasn't been so bad yet... at least it came quickly, it helps for moments like this where I think about the failed IUI. At least I have the new cycle to concentrate on.
I'm going to call the Dr.'s office tomorrow to let them know I'll be in Tuesday for cd3 blood work. I also want to ask if we are increasing femara from 2.5 mg's to 5mg's. Also have to check if I take it the same days 3-7.
I think I'm going to take some new 'pretty pictures' this week sometime as I know it helps with feeling better. Get all dolled up and pretend I'm a beautiful plus size model LOL.
Things are busy right now which is good. Family will be coming saturday for xmas dinner, so cleaning and getting ready for that is my chore for the week. I'm hoping it goes well... My older brother is bringing his new female friend (not sure if they're actually an item yet) to dinner. She seems nice, very quiet. It would be nice to see him happy, and have a successful relationship. He deserves to be happy.
I can't wait to pick up my niece and nephew friday, they're staying over night for the family xmas saturday.
I feel like I've gained weight, I want to lose it... lol. I DON'T WANT IT!! So Off I go to find new things to eat and munch on, but I'm thinking it won't happen until after dinner saturday.
Well, we got dumped on today here... tons of snow. It looks like the brunt of it is over thank goodness, although we still have snowsquall warnings in effect.
Tomorrow I go carolling with my co-worker to a local nursing home... I suggested it about a month ago and everyone seemed to be up for it. So a few of us planned it together and tmorrow's the day. I also got a food drive going as well. I still have to bring my food in, which reminds me I should get some stuff tomorrow for that.
I also did the holiday baking with my friend Brandi, I had fun... here's some pic's of what we baked...
Shortbread cookies, mmmm!

Eggnog Cookies - this was a first. They're a little spicey (nutmeg and cinnaman), but very yummy! I'm impressed!

Here's the Recipe I used...
Egg Nog Cookies
2 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1 and 1/4 cups white sugar

3/4 cups salted butter, softened

1/2 cup eggnog

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

2 large egg yolks

1 Tbsp ground nutmeg

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well with wire whisk and set aside. Cream sugar and butter with electric mixer until forms a grainy paste. Add eggnog, vanilla, and egg yolks and beat at medium speed until smooth. Add flour mixture and beat at low speed just until combined -- do not over mix! Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto un-greased baking sheets -- 1 " apart. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg. Bake for 23-25 minutes or until bottoms turn light brown -- transfer to cool, flat surface immediately.

No-Bake Oatmeal chocolate cookies, mmm YUM!

This is what the platter looked like afterwards, they include peanut butter, chocolate chip, sugar cookies, rice crispie squares, short bread, and no bake cookies. I'm going to save it all for our family Christmas dinner saturday!
