3D U/S & Almost Gestational Diabetes?!

Well I did my 1 hour GD test which required I complete the 3 hour GD test which came back with one high level. So next week I meet with the nutritionist. They or I take my blood once a week and am on a special diet from what I understand. Guess I'll find out more next week.

I went for our 3D u/s today, look see?!!!! :)

Ouchy!

So the only new thing is that the muscles in my lower pelvic are killing me, moving sucks, sitting is okay for the most part but as soon as I move it hurts. It feels like I've pulled all the muscles in my pelvic are. I'm sure its just the baby getting bigger and muscles stretching, it's the most uncomfortable I've felt so far in the pregnancy. I think I'm going to try one of those stretchy support belts, cause I don't know what else will help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I get a 4 day weekend after tomorrow's work day, WAHOO!
The apointment with the nutritionist went well, I am doing pretty good accept I have to cut back on the juice and drink a little more milk. I also need to add a bit more meat and extra veggies, which will be difficult cause I get full a lot faster now. The goal is to gain 1/2 a ound a week from here on out. I've gained a little weight back but they are okay with how much I've gained, they're actually happy about it so thats cool.'
Well that's it for now, I'm going to try and google the muscle issue somemore.

wow, 13 weeks left, 97 days to go!

Things are going well on this end. I haven't been sleeping much lately, don't really know why, even in between the 4-5 bathroom runs a night, for three nights I didn't sleep and finally... FINALLY last night I got a couple straight hours which felt much better! I figure its practice for when baby is here.
The invitations for the baby shower are finished, I'll be sending them out first couple weeks in august. I'll have to take pictures and post them here so u can see what they look like.
I've been doing well otherwise, still waiting for my tummy to come. It is slowly coming but I want my big mummy tummy.
Baby's moving lots, when it had the hickups last week it was such a cool feeling. Last night David finally got to see the baby dancing and my tummy moving in waves, he laughed and couldn't believe it hehe. It was a cool moment to share.
I only have to work three days this week which is nice! Long weekend next weekend and a day off for the nutritionist apointment.
Well, I dunno what else to write right now so off I go!

the next little while

Wow time is starting to move in a hurry, seems we have less and less time to get ready for our life changing experience at the end of oct, beginning of nov.
I have two baby shower, Dave's family one next month and everyone elses in september. I go next week to meet the nutritionist, then two weeks after the I get my GD test. Then at the end of august is the 3d U/S (woohoo!!), then mat leave, then a month later... baby! hehe
I'm getting excited now, finally a little bit excited!! It feels good for a change.
I have been reading lots on breast feeding, it sounds difficult but very rewarding for both baby and me, so I can't wait! I am nervous though about how difficult it will be, but I'll get through it I'm sure! :)
I think that's all for now, just a quicky tonight. Off to watch the rest of Borne Supremecy with David.

Our first trip to emergency and other pregnancy related topics...

Well, 24 weeks is where we're at. We finally had our first real scare last night. The post in blue may have TMI, so if your queezy don't read... just scroll down to the black lettering

~~~~~~~~~~
Last night we had garlic bread with our dinner, it gave me the worst upset stomache ever. I tried to goto the washroom a few times to help the pain and discomfort leave but it wouldn't. At 11:45pm I had gone to the washroom and wiped and there was blood. I FREAKED OUT! Dave had just finished asking if I was okay because I was in a lot of discomfort and that's when I noticed the dripping blood. I wasn't sure which area it was coming from, but it was a pretty good flow.
So we tried paiging the midwives and I didn't hear back so we went to the first emergency room that we knew would be open. (which isn't the hospital we are supossed to go too, we're actually supossed to goto a different hospital because we're with midwives and not an OBGYN; but we weren't thinking about delivering the baby we just wanted to get somewhere that there was help).
I was crying and shaking, but they got me right in, the HB was fine and I did a urine test and that was fine. Then we had to wait until the midwife on call would give permission for the OBGYN to do an exam , which we got but the Dr was delivering a baby. But come 2am he finally came into the room. The baby had been moving and kicking, obviously ablivious to what daddy and I were going through. He used the speculum (sp), which I HATE and now that I'm pregnant it hurts a little more when they use it because everything is so sensative. But he said everything with the baby seemed fine although I did have a 'fisher'.
A fisher... a tear in the anus that happens because all the tissues on a womans body becomes more sensative ect. So now I have cream and stuff, but at least the baby is fine. I've never been more relieved in my life. It was so scary seeing that blood. Everyone was excellent at the hospital, and the midwife called today and she was nice as well.
Although I did notice the 'politics' more with the difference between the midwives and hospital staff. Least I know the proceedure for next time. The paige I made to the midwives didn't even go through - she never rec'd it so I dunno what happened there, but I think we did the right thing and went to the closest hospital... even though the 'politics' gave me a guilty feeling. I was advised to go straight to the other hospital the next time (that's where the midwives 'work' out of). I also have a mast list of paiger numbers for all the midwives but I didn't have it handy, but I'll be sure to put it somwehere accessible now. What a night! Glad the Wee One is okay though! Phew!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have been having a hard time sleeping; I wake up numerous times at night, not just to pee but tossing and turning so I'm going to have to check into that. I have also had severe heart burn, so I'll have to look into that as well.

Back to the prenatal class tuesday, we had homework which we haven't done yet, I'll do it tomorrow. David and I have to watch count how many times each of us breaths in a minute when we don't know the other person is counting hehe. I'll do it tomorrow after work.

I'm getting together with the girls on wednesday to go look at some baby shower invites, but I think we may end up making them. I always like homemade things better. The Dollar Giant has some great scrap booking items that we can incorperate, so I'm excited about that. But we're gunna compare pricing and such.

Well that's about it for now.

Oooooh the emotions have started!

So, the emotional roller coaster finally kicked in last week at 22 weeks. My first emotional roller coaster ride was when I came home and David had taken Gypsy out, left the front door unlocked and a movie paused on the tv. I Came in and got nervous that something had happened. I even checked the phone to see if he left a message but the last call that was listed wasn't answered and it was 40 minutes previous to my arrival home. So that ment he was already gone for that long and so was my puppy. So I grabbed my keys and started the search. I found him around the corner in our complex socializing with the neighbours, well if I didn't take one look at my dog and start crying in front of the head coordinator for our coop and a bunch of other neighbours... *shaking head*, soooo embarassing. I picked Gypsy up and embrassed her and everyone was trying to sooth me "It's okay Jenn, she's just visiting..."Poor Dave LOL. I looked at him and asked him where was the note ect, in between sobs... LOL OMG it was so dramatic lol and embarassing. I started laughing at myself and everyone else got a laugh too.
Today (week 23), I woke up knowing right off that I shouldn't have gone to work, I was just toooo tired! Well I only lasted 1.5 hrs at work. First break I had looked around the room and one of the girls asked if I was okay and it started... here we go again with the crying! lol. I said I'm so tired all I want to do is cry, (so I did LOL). But at the same time as crying I was laughing because I was crying because I was just that tired. So I tried cleaning myself up before letting the boss know I was going home, but my supervisor said she'd let him know. At this point everyones laughing at me because I'm laughing because I'm crying... OMG SOOOO embarassing lol. However it was a good laugh and I did come home and sleep for 4 hrs straight!
So that's my emotional roller coaster so far hehe.
