getting bigger!

My mummy tummy is getting slowly bigger which I'm very pleased about. I get to feel the baby move everyday which is nice. Although the sharp pinching in my right leg is getting on my nerves, but it's a small price to pay for such a blessing.
I goto my midwife apointment this wednesday and we start our prenatal classes a week from tuesday, we're very happy and excited to learn new things. It's a four week course so it'll help the time pass until next month when we get our 3D U/S which we can't wait for! I'm going to request to see a nutritionist at my apopintment, just to try and get things under wrap for any chances of gestational diabeties, cause my chances of having it are pretty high, I believe I get tested for it in the next 2 weeks. I'll probably get my requisite for the testing at my apointment wednesday.
I'm enjoying my only real holiday from work, 6 days off in a row, I'm on my third day today, it's been nice.
I don't know what else to update with right now. I am going to post photo's of the nursery in the next couple days, but right now I'm painting the rocking chair in that room, so when I get that mess cleaned up I'll take the pictures and post them here.

Giddy

I'm a little giddy today.
At night time I have a ritual. I give my fur babies there treats and then I lay and talk to the baby, poke my tummy and talk a little more. Last night the baby was kicking pretty good. The kicks have been getting stronger, and last night for the first time, I seen my tummy move in unison with the baby kicks. I have to say it was AMAZING! I always wished to be able to feel that and see my tummy moving and I can't believe how blessed I am to have experienced what I have so far. We are so blessed to have this miracle growing inside me, I can't wait to meet him/her in nov. Keep growing Wee One, big and strong!! Keep on exercising those muscles!!

Kickin' around...

The baby is kicking a lot now, I feel it moving around and wapping me pretty good sometimes, 'just wait' they say, I hear it gets better :). It's an awesome feeling knowing there IS actually a baby in there. It can kick me all it wants! I can't wait until David can feel it by resting his hand on my belly. Soon I think, cause they're getting pretty strong.
Dave looked at me today and said "I can definately tell you're pregnant now, I can really see the roundness starting on your belly". That felt good to hear, cause I'm a heavier lady I really want my mummy tummy and it's starting to get more noticable which is nice.

Names 'n stuff!

Well not to much to write really. I got my hair done, back to dark brown my actual natural colour... it'll make things easier for when the baby gets here. I counted and have 8 more paycheques until the Wee One is here.
Oh! Our names...
Maera Nanette Sloane if it's a girl - Maera after my mum, her middle name is Mae, and Nanette after David's mum who passed away
Gavyn Giovanni Sloane - I win with this name, Gavyn means white hawk in gaelic (Dave and I are both scottish), Giovanni because I just really like this name all together, it kind of rolls of the tongue.
The nursery looks good, I'll take pic's and post them soon. That's it for now.

Baby showers and various thoughts.

Booked the Hall for the baby shower, it's set for september 14th, incase I go into labour early. The original date was oct 4th, but I thought that was a little to close to my due date of Nov 2nd. I am compiling the list of people and addresses to send invites too. I am a little excited.
My friend S (the God-Mother of the Wee One), and my oldest friend B are planning the shower. We're doing it at the common unit so we don't have to worry about lack of space or seating... ect. Cleaning will be easy and my pets don't have to suffer from the number of people we will have over. I'm hoping that most of the people we're inviting show up.
Dave will be doing a poker night for the guys, entry fee is a bag of diapers. So He's going to talk to the God-Father... no not the famous one, The Wee One's God-Father lol. He's the one we got the idea from. They had enough diapers for a year for doing a poker night! Hopefully we'll get just as lucky!
Mummy tummy is getting larger, and I'm feeling the baby a little more freaquently.
I think at my next apointment with the midwives I'm going to accept the invite to see a nutritionist as I think it will help ensure I am getting enough food/vitamins for the growing baby. I am doing well, but I can always take advice from a professional lol. When she first mentioned it at my first apointment I think I was a little offended, don't know why really, but I've thought about it and really want to do it.
